The popular comic strip, FoxTrot, was first syndicated in 1988. The cartoonist sees a funny side in family life, and his unique style comes through in the daily life of the Fox family: parents Andrea (Andy) and Roger, and their children, Peter, Paige, and Jason. A short account by W. Ashley-Brown of Christianity in Western India. The book deals principally with the English period and the development of the Church of England (now the Church of India, Burma and Ceylon) from its beginnings as a Chaplaincy of the original East India Company at Surat, trading under the charter of Queen Elizabeth I. The reason for the book is the approaching centenary of the Diocese of Bombay (now Mumbai). The author states in his notes that Nature’s apparent methods, effects and requirement have been extensively dealt with to protect the kennel from drugging, and displacing that by hygienic and dietetic practices. Every important subject has been fully discussed. The simplest language was chosen and needless technical expressions excluded. The illustrations of dogs add value, as they are true to life, and some have the nearest approaches to perfection. 29. Clegg, John (1979). Carcoar Historic Village (1st ed). Bathurst, NSW: Robert Brown & Associates. 44 pp. Paperback large octavo, very good condition, stapled pamphlet, card cover, full-page black & white frontispiece, colour text-photos, staples rusted, corner tips little creased firsdt few pages, some edgewear. This small book is about one of Australia's oldest townships. Carcoar was settled soon after Bathurst and Kelso, only 40 years after the arrival of the First Fleet. The town has remained practically unchanged by 20th century progress. It is almost if time has stood still in the peaceful Belubula Valley for over 100 years. How Carcoar remained unaltered by history is a fascinating story. Retells the tale of Carcoar's past and to illustrate how beautifully the village has been preserved for the enjoyment of all.
